The Association of Young Farmers of Hungary, Agrya, held the "Farmers for Sustainability" workshop conference on February 15, 2023. The event featured key speakers such as Dr. Péter Feldmann, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture; Dr. Péter Pillók, Director of Századvég; Attila Kökény, expert at Agreena; and Tibor Gulyás, CEO of the Technology Transfer Institute, who represented Techtra with a presentation titled "The Importance of Developments in Agriculture."
In his presentation, Tibor Gulyás outlined Techtra's place and role within the ecosystem operating under the Board of Trustees of the Széchenyi István University Foundation. He also discussed the institute's organization, goals, and system of operations, and introduced the National Laboratory of Cooperative Technologies.
During the event, we not only delivered a professional presentation but also explored and identified the possibilities and frameworks for cooperation between Techtra and Agrya. As our task is knowledge management, our collaboration with the Association of Young Farmers of Hungary aims to understand the needs of the agricultural sector, to which we can provide effective solutions from a development perspective. In our intermediary role, we aim to utilize our research results and capabilities to address the market interests of agriculture and the benefits of multipurpose use, with a strong focus on technological and educational aspects.
Common example:
- Practical Example: The typical example of development is drone technology, which is also making its mark in agriculture. The emergence and market of agricultural drones are becoming increasingly influential, as drones can serve both for observation and monitoring, as well as for crop pollination and spraying.
- Automation in Agriculture: Automation in agriculture involves the development of autonomous vehicles and enhancing off-road capabilities, potentially combined with drone technology to address labor shortages in fields such as crop harvesting and fruit picking.
