The Milestone Conference of this year was held on November 25-26, 2023, in Budapest, co-organized by the Doctoral Student Council of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE). The opening speech was delivered by Tibor Gulyás, CEO of Techtra Zrt., followed by a professional program.
Techtra Zrt. and the Doctoral Student Council (DOSZ) support doctoral researchers' participation in internship programs to enhance talent development and nurture scientific talent. They also facilitate placements of young researchers in research institutes and companies.
The missions and philosophies of Techtra and DOSZ intersect on several points, leading both organizations to commit to closer collaboration. During the event, Tibor Gulyás and Daniel Molnár, President of DOSZ, shared their thoughts on shared goals and signed a collaboration agreement in a ceremonial setting.
In addition to professional presentations, the conference included the presentation of awards for "Community for Science." The afternoon session featured a roundtable discussion on innovation.
As part of the professional program, participants engaged in workshops to discuss challenges in doctoral education, quality assurance issues, and other relevant topics for the organization.
In conclusion, participants of the Milestone Conference agreed to continue working for the young researcher generation in 2024 under the motto of DOSZ: "Community for Science."
