As part of their recent collaboration, the Techtra Technology Transfer Institute and the Dutch University Industry Innovation Network (UIIN) are organizing a joint conference in Budapest from May 9-11. UIIN, founded in 2012, is a knowledge hub aimed at successfully facilitating knowledge transfer among universities, industries, entrepreneurs, and students. In addition to conducting its own research, UIIN organizes events and provides training and consultancy services to its community of over 80 organizations and 500 individual members. The organization has been hosting European conferences since 2013, and this will be the first time UIIN hosts an event in Budapest.
The aim of the 2023 conference is to foster interaction between universities and industry, and to facilitate collaboration between entrepreneurs and dedicated university students through the sharing of experiences and insights. The keynote speakers at the event include Cristina Riesen, founder and CEO of the Educreators Foundation; Diana El-Azar, strategic communications director at the Minerva Project; Emma Salgård Cunha, commercial manager at the University of Cambridge; Kelly Sexton, associate vice president for research and innovation partnerships at the University of Michigan; Philipp Gerbert, managing director of TUM Venture Labs; Robert Giezendanner-Thoben, director of industrial affairs at EPFL; and Roberta Malee Bassett, global lead for tertiary education at the World Bank.
