The event provided Techtra with an opportunity to present the achievements of the Institute in the field of Defense Innovation and Dual-Use in the lecture titled. We showcased our current operations, the National Laboratory of Cooperative Technologies, as well as our future plans. Within the realm of technology and knowledge transfer, which constitutes a significant portion of our activities, we emphasize the importance of establishing active connections with emerging and existing startups and the ecosystem. Therefore, special recognition is due to the organizers for hosting such a high-quality event, as they organized a professionally enriching occasion.
The purpose of the professional day was to familiarize students and interested individuals with the challenges, opportunities, best practices, and market insights within the domestic entrepreneurial ecosystem, through the perspectives of several supporters and participants. It aimed to provide insight into market contexts that aid young entrepreneurs in consciously developing and bringing their business ideas and projects to market.
During the first part of the day, both university and industry speakers shared their experiences and recommendations with the participants. Speakers included Dr. Réka Matolay (Corvinus Science Shop), Máté Czvitkó (winner of the BCE PoC competition), Dr. Ferenc Dávid (Techtra), Dr. János Vecsenyi (BCE), Tamás Bagi (Nexten Informatika Zrt.), László Kiss (HelloPay Zrt.), and Tamás Turcsán (founder of Pozi.io).
In the second part of the day, 15 student projects were presented in 7-minute intervals. During these presentations, teams explained the essence of their projects, the problem they aimed to address, and their target market. They also emphasized how they planned to solve the specific problem, potential collaborators, pricing strategy, and business model.
Since the projects were not yet in their final MVP (Minimum Viable Product) phase at the time of presentation (teams aimed to have their MVPs ready by the end of May), providing guidance and supporting the development path was a crucial element for the evaluators. Among the evaluators were Tamás Bagi (Nexten Informatika Zrt.), László Kiss (HelloPay Zrt.), Tamás Turcsán (founder of Pozi.io), and Péter Fehérvári (Techtra).
