The workshop related to the Mindcraft project of Techtra Technology Transfer Institute at Széchenyi István University focused on addressing market demands, career advancement opportunities, attracting and retaining talented students. The program aligned with the main focus areas of the university's Győr Science and Innovation Park. At the heart of the initiative by Techtra Technology Transfer Institute within the Széchenyi University Group is ensuring a continuous supply of workforce in several fields where replacement is becoming increasingly challenging.

"We set the goal of bringing back the excellent Hungarian talent pool from abroad. Initially, the connection was established with Hungarian students studying abroad, and the event has continuously expanded with new objectives and partners. With Mindcraft, our aim is to create a well-known annual program that shows young people the opportunities they have to return home to a quality professional environment."

- emphasized Zsuzsanna Szőke, Director of Communication and Marketing at Techtra.

All this is realized through two divisions: one is the Research and Development division, focusing on artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and the manufacturing technology, energy, and materials of modern age. This segment continually requires a large number of engineering talents. The other is the Knowledge and Technology Transfer division, which requires different types of expertise, mainly in economic and market research.

"We envisioned an event that benefits all stakeholders: as a result, the corporate sector receives high-quality, pre-screened workforce, while students gain access to high-level opportunities for returning home. Our goal is to integrate companies, students, and supporting organizations into an ecosystem with the university, providing outstanding workforce, positions, scientific mindset, and shared connections for all participants,"

added Zsuzsanna Szőke.

"The research indicates that the key to attracting young people back home lies in the quality of development and advancement opportunities, and the Mindcraft event will play an important role in this. Széchenyi István University emphasizes the training of talented students and works to connect them with companies in collaboration with the market. The institution's Higher Education and Industry Cooperation Center (FIEK) aims to build a vibrant ecosystem between the university and industry. This enables students to develop skills that they can later utilize in their future careers. Additionally, we support them in starting ventures, entering the market, and sustaining their presence in it,"

emphasized Bálint Szüle, the business development manager of FIEK.

The Mindcraft organizational network welcomed its first member, the Hungarian Youth Association, which represents and brings together students studying abroad in 13 countries and 80 international higher education institutions. The network includes the National Innovation Agency, acting as a guiding compass by bridging academia with market players, and SkillX, which supports the event with its knowledge of corporate and employee needs, contributing to the creation of an HR platform. Other partners include the National Youth Council, the National Doctoral Council, and the Tempus Public Foundation.
