The Job Fair held at Széchenyi István University in Győr provided networking opportunities for students, graduates, young professionals, and skilled individuals in the job market. The event featured nearly fifty exhibitors offering hundreds of internships and job opportunities to attendees.
Széchenyi István University's Job Fair, held twice a year, is highly popular among both businesses and students as it serves as an excellent platform for networking. Many young individuals can find internships or potential employers at the event, making it a valuable opportunity for practical placements and career advancement.
"The Job Fair is an important event for our current and former students alike because it offers not only general networking opportunities but also specific job offers from exhibitors awaiting the future professionals. It's gratifying to see that we encounter not only interested individuals among the attendees but also a significant number of former Széchenyi students on the other side of the booths."
– stated Effi Zentai, Career Specialist at Széchenyi István University. She mentioned that this time, 48 exhibitors presented hundreds of positions to university.
"I primarily came to the job fair because I'm very interested in the activities at ZalaZone. I enjoy working with cars and testing them, and Zalaegerszeg's track provides excellent conditions for that. I'm also interested in companies operating there, such as Rheinmetall or Bosch, as each offers excellent opportunities for a young professional."
"– expressed Bence Büki, a third-year mechatronics engineering student from Zalaszentgrót, in response to our question. He added that Széchenyi István University offers unparalleled opportunities by operating its own innovation park in Zalaegerszeg. As a native of Zala, he mentioned that after completing his studies at the university, he would gladly plan for the long term at ZalaZone."
Similar to ZalaZone Industrial Park Ltd., Techtra Technology Transfer Institute is also a member of the Széchenyi University Group. Throughout the day, a large number of visitors stopped by their booth, understandable given that the company's engineers work on innovative fields such as drone technology, autonomous vehicles, and artificial intelligence. Students interested in research and development had the opportunity to learn about 14 engineering positions, including software developer, hardware developer, mechanical engineer, function developer, and artificial intelligence research and development roles, ranging from internships to junior and senior positions.
Tamás Konczi, a first-year mechanical engineering student from Bábolna in Komárom-Esztergom County, attended the fair for the first time. "I came here to look for an internship related to my studies because besides knowledge, I also want to gain professional experience, and after graduation, I aim to secure a stable job. Among the exhibitors, I was particularly interested in Audi Hungaria and Rába, and at their booths, I received a lot of information about the opportunities they offer," expressed the student.
The job openings offered by participating companies at the fair can be found on the websites allasborze.sze.hu and karrier.sze.hu. Széchenyi University provides advice and practical tips on these platforms to assist young people in preparing their resumes, writing effective cover letters, and succeeding in job interviews. At the event, graduate students specializing in human resource counseling from the Apáczai Csere János Faculty of Pedagogy, Humanities and Social Sciences personally assisted attendees on these topics.
