II. Metal AM Event - The continuation was successful!
The Technology Transfer Institute (Techtra) organized another successful event, titled the II. Metal AM Event. Nearly 70 domestic and international participants gained valuable insights on sustainability, cost reduction, Industry 4.0, digitalization, and the importance of training in the context of AM technology.
At the opening ceremony, Tibor Gulyás, CEO of Techtra, and Prof. Dr. Gábor Dogossy, Dean of Széchenyi University, welcomed the attendees, including Szabolcs Szolnoki, Deputy State Secretary responsible for technology affairs, who is dedicated to the theme of the event.
The host of the event was Lilla Komár-Nedeczky, Head of International Business Relations Division at Techtra.
The focus was on the latest trends and challenges of metal additive manufacturing (AM) technology across various industries such as automotive, healthcare, and aerospace. Additionally, the Additive Manufacturing Competence Center and its projects launching this year were presented.
Among the international speakers were representatives from AMEXCI AB, Saab Aeronautics AB, RISE – Research Institutes of Sweden, EOS GmbH, Mobility goes Additive, and Siemens Digital Industries Software.
The presentations emphasized the importance of metal 3D printing technology in maintaining competitiveness and highlighted the significance of know-how in harnessing the opportunities of additive manufacturing. Speakers showcased the real and proven advantages of AM applications in aerospace, railway industries, as well as sustainable and cost-effective additive manufacturing solutions in the automotive sector.
The II. Metal AM Event once again underscored the opportunities inherent in additive manufacturing technology. Participants gained valuable insights into solutions applied across different sectors and took further steps towards establishing domestic and international collaborations.
Techtra is committed to organizing similar events in the future, aiming to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and fostering collaboration in the field of additive manufacturing.
